Why Start with a Trial Lesson?

A trial music lesson is a great way to start playing an instrument. You get to meet and connect with a music teacher, share your musical goals and learn more about the teacher and their teaching approach and style.

Is 30-Min Enough for a Music Lesson?

A 30-min music lesson is a good place to start and is the right amount of time for younger children and beginners of all ages. Adult beginners may prefer longer sessions, and those are available too.

What’s the Right Age to Start Music Lessons?

There is no “right age” to pick up an instrument, it depends on the child and the instrument. Some instruments are too large for small hands like a sax or cello. Some instruments are easier for young kids to make progress with like a recorder, piano, drums and bells. Most important is their interest and motivation. For younger children, a kinder music program may be a better fit than private music lessons, until they get a little older.

How Do I Find the Right Music Teacher?

When considering a music teacher for private music lessons for yourself or your child, there are many ways to go about it, depending on your priorities. Read teacher bios and testimonials. Look for a teacher that matches your skill level and musical goals, and your preferences in their background, style, experience, and availability. What’s great about our program is that we make it easy to meet our teachers in a FREE trial lesson before you have to decide.
