Covid-19 Preparedness

As a local, family-owned business, we too are trying to best navigate the uncertainty caused by the spread of COVID-19 and appreciate all the support we have received from the community and from our loyal customers.  

We are closely monitoring, and adhering to, State and County guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety. 

Below you will find more information about our store procedures and the precautions we are taking to make it safe and easy to shop with us so that we can provide you with what you need to keep playing music.

Store Hours

We are back to normal store hours for inside shopping, curbside pick up, repairs, and customer service:

Monday - Friday, 10am - 7pm
Saturday, 10am - 6pm
Sunday, Noon - 6pm

Safety Procedures

Here’s what we’re doing in our store to keep you and our team healthy:

Employee Training and Support
We have developed personal prevention procedures and protocol to ensure all employees understand and are well-versed in the guidelines and best practices for maintaining their health. 

Cleaning
Our store is cleaned by a professional cleaning service multiple times per week. In addition, we are cleaning and disinfecting our sales floor, POS stations, and other high-touch areas throughout the day and after each use.

Hygiene
We will be washing our hands frequently, including after every interaction with a customer, delivery provider or other team member. Every team member, including Repair Shop, has been provided with hand sanitizer, tissues and disinfectant for their POS station and supplies are available throughout the store for customer use.  

Personal Protective Gear
Wearing protective masks within our store is mandatory.  Employees have been provided with a supply of cloth masks.  Disposable masks are available to customers, as are protective gloves, if desired.

Social Distancing
Maintaining a distance of 6 feet is required of our team and our customers at all times and we have organized our store and have implemented floor markers to make it easier to comply.

Available by Phone or Email
In case you do not want to or cannot travel, or you want to arrange for curbside pick up in advance, there are several ways to reach us.  We have staff dedicated to answering the telephone 415-479-3112 during our normal business hours to answer questions about inventory availability or to assist you with a purchase or rental.  You can also browse our website and place an online order, or rent an instrument online, or use our contact form for any other questions or inquiries.

Instrument Handling
If you’re interested in trying an instrument before you purchase it, a team member, following safety protocol, will pull the instrument for you, disinfect it before handing it over, and again before returning it to the display wall or case.  If you do not want to try the instrument prior to purchase, we have a generous return policy that will allow you to isolate the instrument at home before play testing.

Repair Shop
Our Repair Shop is open and technicians are available; however, to maintain social distancing the back of our store is currently not accessible to customers. This includes the Repair Shop, restrooms and studios.  Our technicians will be more than happy to come up front to consult as needed. 

 

School Music Program Rental Customers

Renting for Fall 2020
Rental instruments are available and can be ordered online for curbside pick up.  You can also visit the store for a contactless consultation and rental.

Renewing for Fall 2020 Rental
If your student plans to continue with classes and/or lessons in the Fall, you can easily renew your rental online.  And, the earlier the better.  Take advantage of the Early Bird Special to save money and to provide your young player with an instrument all Summer.

Returning a Rental
We are accepting rental returns daily during normal business hours. Simply bring the instrument to the store and we'll assist you. We have implemented a new, quick return process to make it easier on you.

In-Store Studios and Music Lessons

Our studios are closed to teachers and students until further notice.  However, most of our teachers are offering remote/video conference lessons.  Please check our teacher directory for availability.
