We have a top quality, full-service instrument Repair Shop in our store. Come on by with your instrument for a FREE consultation and estimate. Prices listed below are typical for the type of work, however, instruments may require additional work and, therefore, additional cost. Some may require less work, in which case we will charge less. None of the prices include parts.
Our Service Guarantee
- We will provide an estimate for labor, replacement parts and work completion date for approval BEFORE work begins
- We will provide an estimate for premium pad overhauls on Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones and Piccolos, upon request
- We stand by our work. Customers have 7-days after picking up their instrument to notify us of any questions or concerns about their repair.
Customers are responsible for the cost of replacement parts, with service and parts paid at pick up, and for providing a deposit on an overhaul before work begins.

Woodwind Instrument Overhauls, $450 - $1,350
Overhauls on (plastic, metal, and wood) Clarinets, Bass Clarinets, Alto Clarinets, Flutes (closed and open hole), Oboes, Conservatory Model Oboe, Bassoon Baritone Saxophone include basic tune up and maintenance services, plus:
- Complete disassembly and pro cleaning
- Replace all pads, corks, and felts
- Inspect and reface tone holes
- Swedge keys for proper fit
- Polish keys
- Straighten and polish key hinges and hinge rods
- Level key cups
- Replace springs where needed
- Remove minor dents
- Adjustments and regulation set

Basic maintenance on (lacquered and silver plate) Trumpets, Cornets, Trombones (including with F attachment), Alto Horns, Flugelhorns, French Horns (Single or Double), Baritone Horns (including 4-valve), Tubas (3 and 4-valve and 4-valve rotary), and Sousaphones include:
- Cleaning and flushing all parts
- Grease slides and oil valves
- Set ports
- New corks, springs and felts where needed
- Minor dent work
- Ultrasonic cleaning: pull stuck bottom caps, complete disassembly of instrument, submerge in Ultrasonic bath, replace valve stem felts, top cap washers and water key corks (2)
- Magnehelic air leak test
- Play test
Service cost is dependent on the instrument and the material it’s made of.
Valve and valve casing work is not included in a basic tune up and is estimated separately.
Ultrasonic cleaning is included in a basic maintenance, but if hand work is required there is additional cost.
