David has over 30 years experience teaching guitar.  He has a broad range of skills from Classical, Flameno, Jazz, Folk, Pop, Rock & Blues.  He is currently teaching guitar at Dominican University and was formerly the guitar teacher at San Domenico and Marin Academy.  David was owner and operator of The Creative Music School in San Rafael.  Two of his students were awarded Marin Music Chest Scholarship winners.  Many other former students  are now working professional players in all styles.

Teacher Process

David has students ranging in age from 8 to 70+.  He is happy to work with the most basic beginner student all the way up to the graduate level or working music professional.  Lessons in reading, music theory and musical interpretation will be applied toward both Finger and/or Picking Styles.  David also demonstrates mastery in improvising, arranging and is also a consultant for songwriters.

The Player Performer

As a performing musician, David is among the busiest guitarist in the bay area.  He performs solo and in small groups within all styles from Classics to Modern, Instrumental Rock and Surf Music.

David has performed in various locations from the Highlands Inn and Pebble Beach Golf Course in Carmel to the finest wine country venues and all points in between.  In San Francisco, he has enjoyed venues such as AT&T Ball Park, The Rotunda at City Hall, first call at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Cafe at The Opera House.  David has entertained audiences in the thousands as well as intimate events such as a surprise wedding proposal over looking the Pacific Ocean.  He has played in various orchestras for The Mountain Play, The Lamplighters and The Marin Opera Company.
David has also toured throughout the country with the Massenkoff Ensemble.  Solo performances include eleven large IBM conferences throughout the United States.
